People need to stop glorifying overworking! Good point.
Work out the budget for your living expenses and work a job that pays the bills. Don't live beyond your means, live only to what you need.
Better question, why is anyone working 18 hours a day? That's not healthy and productivity tanks after a certain point of being on the same task. The 40-hour week exists for a reason
Yep. And if the man cut his hours in half while his wife still worked 80 hours a week, she'd call his ass a loser and divorce him.
So you're saying gavin mcguiness was right all along
Very true, and women are tied down by their biology if they want to do these things, where as men are not, and can become very well established and comfortable, even retire before having children. Don't blame men for inequality today… blame biology. Blame the hell out of it, and then accept it 🤷♀️. Is what it is.
All people who have a specific goal that they prioritize will have to make sacrifices in order to meet those ends, men and women alike… women just have a little different order in which to do these things.
My mom worked as a CNA for years, but then, she decided to go get a degree when I was in middle school to highschool. She was done having kids, and the important years were out of the way, so it was a good time to focus on her career. Ladies judge themselves by the same standards as men without taking these things into account, and it leads to all sorts of misunderstandings.
It's okay to be different, but you have to learn to understand and accept the differences. Sometimes they add limitations, but limitation does not mean impossibility.
18 hours a day thats everyday for a trucker 🤣👌
The loop is undetectable
Exactly.
Funny I know three of my female friends who just stop being lawyers for this reason.
There’s and even smaller percentage of women who will work just as much as that small percentage of men they are just hard to find. It’s also a really big juggling act as a woman as well. Biologically there are differences between men and women but both have the capability of working as much as the other and helping each other out to achieve that goal. Me personally I couldn’t ever be just a stay at home mom. Props to those that are but I need a career and a bigger purpose then just my household to be satisfied with my life. Even then if I’m not experiencing any type of growth or progress I get very frustrated
me a woman working 16 hours a day while my husband takes care of my newborn 😔
(fyi i do hope i can work less to see my kid but the grind dont stop)
The parallel with the stages of development is similar. 3 years old the child has to connect to their spirit and women at 30 are now feeling the same desire and want to have kids.
Praise Jesus,
Michael Idarecis
I work 15h a day and I'm totally fine. Loving it.
I worked for law firms as a paralegal. Worked in one where I was working unpaid overtime (16 to 19 hour shifts), working the jobs of like 6 people (paralegal, receptionist, IT, social media, ETC.). I was exhausted all the time and on top of it, the partner of the firm was sexually harassing me every day. He definately didnt try to keep me, I left because i couldnt handle it anymore.
I put in my 18 hour days for about 8 years. I am now a millionaire and focusing on enjoying life and my kids.
We need to recognize that a small minority of women also want to work 18 hours a day. Just like how men want to have families too. Everyone should be allowed to do whatever they want.
I'd work if my husband wanted to be a stay at home father.
By the time vvoman are 30 they are generally not as pretty and fertility issues start biologically . Gals are born with their value there is a pretty girl turning 18 every single day. A man who had resources and wants a family will pick up a girl young enough to give him the set amount of kids he desires.
Gawddammit wtf that's exactly what went through my mind at 29!
Who tf works 18 hours???!!
He basically just described my house hold. I gave up a 40+ hours a week job for one that is 25 hrs a week to spend more time with my kids
Women are reactive they love to be sold something, rather it's a guy with game or nice lifestyle, rather it is feminism, an identity, politics that say your a victim and also better than everyone just for exsisting. However they are sold ideology that keeps them in a perpetual cycle of consumerism and monetary foraging. Female misery is great for business, because they just look for something or someone else to buy and flip flop everywhere but always after its too late do they land where they should have. It's by design.
I hate kids. Don't want to be married. And I definatekt don't want to work 28 hours a day. If a person cuts back on their hours at work, what's wrong with that? Also, marriage is definitely not a pennicle of my life, my personal achievements are.
They have no life! The women want to establish a base and then start the other half of my life! If they don’t want a relationship they keep going. Woman want all of life, and kids have to be born between 30-40. People who have no friends and no life or don’t want to deal with kids so the wife pulls double duty, working 18 hours a day! Just doesn’t get paid for 1/2 of it.
I left at 25 because I knew I had to have kids at that moment. At 28 my back started giving out on me. I'm glad I asked God if it was time and he let me know now because my back couldn't handle it at 30.
Massive fan of Peterson, I've heard every recorded version of him making this argument, multiple times probably. I disagree with him entirely.
While I'd agree that people like surgeons or lawyers or high level executives (barring the C-suite) do require very high focus at times, I think that most of these people's time is spent doing what they want. I've seen this dynamic play out in every business hierarchy I've been able to observe. The higher up you go, the less work needs to be done. The stress and weight behind the decisions you make goes tenfold, but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the higher you go up the ladder, the less time you spend actually diligently working. My best example is the month I spent in the hospital a few years ago. The most highly paid individual, her name was Lizzette Alvarez, a spinal/neuro PT specialist would show up around noon, do her rounds with the others in my area, maybe 20 or 30 people for a few minutes each. Do essentially nothing technical other than look over documents showcasing with numbers/notes on them that others had created after spending hours with me. She'd always be the first one gone as well. The head of the ward, the most exceptionally skilled, probably worked 3-5 hours a day on average. It's also worth noting that out of the exact month I spent in the hospital, she took two vacations. Week long, like intercontinental vacations at two of her four separate properties. I think the people that work the very most are the ones just below the top ranks in basically every setting.
I am going to say one thing and this is not a male or a female issue. Unless you are a single person with no significant other. No job out there is worth 18 hours a day. Not even people that own their own businesses work this much at least not the ones that want to maintain their sanity. All work and no play makes Jack or Jill a dull person. There's no amount of money you can ever pay me to work this amount 12 hours everyday.
The democrats r literally turning ppl GaY
After a while you realize it doesn't matter about the money cuz u can't spend it if ur dead & u can get that time back once u wasted it.
It's definitely a difference. My boyfriend said if we were gonna have a kid he'd start working 60+ hours a week.
Me: Uh. I wouldn't do that.
Him: I wouldn't expect you to.
Me: But that's a lot of pressure on you. If I wouldn't do it I certainly wouldn't expect you to.
Him: Shrugging ik but we'd need the money saved up.
Like not evem phased.
The loop on this is quality editing 👌
You can't work 18 hours a day. Not possible. Sorry.
I work at a top law firm with a lot of women —- it’s not that hard to keep some. They get leave when they are pregnant and work as expected paid 300k plus and are over 30. There are also plenty who are partner. Peterson has a very small perception of gender in all of his arguments. It’s the one sections that I think he gets very wrong and justifies it because he doesn’t have the life experience of a women as Proof of concept just a small group of studies that don’t represent most as they claim. As with most studies they aren’t definitive.
Anyone working 18 hours a day, unless you own your own business, is getting fucked up the ass with a big steel rod. 6 hours a day to shower, eat and sleep and possibly even commute to work isn’t enough to be a functional human. Let alone to have healthy connections with another person.
So true! I worked in corporate 12 hour days, making an incredible amount of money. I turned 28 and came to this realization. Why am I working 60 hours a week?? I went part time to 20 hrs and week and got pregnant a month later 😅 family is greater than status and money 👏🏼🤍
I'm working 11 hours a day and I got on my calculator and did the math. I cut out the time I work and get ready for work. I cut out eight hours for sleep. I was left with three hours of free time. I can't fucking imagine working more than that
So they have 6 hours sleep?
No hours to eat? Workout?
Jordan stfu.
Please let women do whatever tf they want, they don't wanna have babies? don't force them to, they wanna work for a long periods of time? let them do it.
stop criticizing them for every single thing they do
