Some people on LinkedIn have weak content, and they still amass huge followings. It's confusing. But there's a pattern:
While they may have weaker-than-average content performance, they have stronger-than-average brand authority and audience health.
But how? Doesn't brand authority come from posting consistently?
What about authenticity? Building in public?
Yes, but there's more to the story.
Not every journey is the same:
"i'M aN iNFlUenCEr," some say to mock them. But their strong brand authority and loyal audience are undeniable.
The truth is, you can build an off-platform brand and have it carry over to LinkedIn success. It's not a path those of us who start from zero will likely take, but it's a common path among executives, IRL networkers, and those on the speaking circuit.
